
The 2008 Turner Maxwell Book short story competition is now open.
10 winners will be awarded a publishing contract worth >£1000 and free
marketing for 12 months.
Maximum 5000 words entry.
Entry requirements: Must be a great story and original. There are no theme
restrictions. Copyright remains the property of the author. Stories of an
offensive nature will be disqualified.

The closing date is Dec 31st 2008. We will review entries for the rest of the year and announce winners in early January. At the same time a publication of the winners work as a collection of short stories will be available and marketed throughout 2009, with 25% payment to each author, as per our standard terms and conditions.
All work must be unpublished and should not have been previously submitted. TMB reserves the right to not enter into discussions on the competition detail. All decisions by Turner Maxwell Books will be final and binding.
Entries must
not defame any living person or corporate body nor infringe or breach any
rights of copyright.
This competition shall be deemed to have been held in the United Kingdom,
and shall be governed exclusively by English law. All rights reserved. No
part of any TMB publication may be reproduced, transmitted or stored in a
retrieval system in any form or by any means without permission in writing
by Turner Maxwell Books. All books are sold subject to the condition that
they shall not, by way of trade or otherwise, be lent, resold, hired out or
otherwise circulated without the publisher’s prior consent in any form of
binding or cover other than that in which this is published and without a
similar condition including this condition being imposed on the subsequent
purchaser. The purchases of all TMB books are a matter of private sale
between the reader and the publisher; at no stage will indemnity be claimed
